Adam Dunn Injury: White Sox Slugger Could Return This Weekend

Chicago White Sox DH Adam Dunn may return to the team's lineup sometime this weekend, manager Robin Ventura told reporters on Friday night. Dunn, who has missed seven straight games, took batting practice on Friday and felt well enough that there is a chance that he will return to the field either Saturday or Sunday against the Minnesota Twins.

Dunn told reporters that he doesn't think he can return to 100% health this season but he will return to the lineup when he can tolerate the pain. Dunn also said that he doesn't believe there's risk of further or permanent damage to his oblique, an aggravation of which led to this current stint of game inactivity.

The White Sox will reevaluate Dunn prior to Saturday's game and if "nothing flares up" he could be back in the lineup by then.
