The first round 2012 PGA Championship tournament is drawing to a close on Thursday afternoon, and it appears the day will end with Sweden's Carl Pettersson in the lead with 6-under. The 34-year-old PGA veteran had six birdies and no bogeys through his 18 holes.
Meanwhile, Pekin, IL, native D.A. Points is in the hunt with a 1-over ranking. Points had three bogeys -- in holes No. 4, No. 11 and No. 15 -- but also collected a pair of birdies in holes No. 9 and No. 16. He currently sits tied for 83 place.
