London 2012 Olympics: Women's Basketball Beats Australia 86-73, Advances To Finals

Despite a strong effort from Australia's Liz Cambage (19 PTS, 7 REB, 2 BLK, 1 STL), Team USA managed to best the Australian women's basketball team 86-73 in a comeback victory.

The American women fell down early, entering the half down 47-43. But the chance for an upset win faded after the third quarter as USA took a a 65-59 lead and did not look back.

Chicago Sky players Swin Cash and Sylvia Fowles had a rough day, though. Cash spent the entire game on the bench, while Fowles played only 8:25 and collected 3 points and 2 rebounds while committing 2 turnovers and 3 personal fouls.

The USA women's basketball team now advances to the finals against either France or Russia, August 11 at 3:00 p.m. CDT.
