Summer Olympics 2012 Daily Preview: Wallace Spearmon Runs In Men's 200m Semifinals

Chicago will be watching Walter Spearmon on Wednesday as the local Olympian competes in the semifinals of the men's 200 meter race. Spearmon will compete in the first of three heats. He is one of three Americans in the semifinals, joining Isiah Young and Maurice Mitchell. Usain Bolt, world record holder in the 200 and champion in the 100 meters already at these London games, will race in the second heat.

Wednesday will also crown a winner in women's beach volleyball. The final pits a pair of American teams. Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh-Jennings will take on Jen Kessy and April Ross.

Team USA will also face Australia in the quarterfinals of men's basketball.
