The USA Women's Basketball team dominated on the court Tuesday morning, beating Team Canada in a 91-43 route. With the highly-touted men's basketball team watching from the crowd, the American women nabbed 15 steals and took advantage of a favorable 26-10 turnover margin.
USA will now move on to face Australia, who placed second in the Group B qualification round with a 4-1 record. Australia beat China 75-60 in the quarterfinals Tuesday morning.
The Australian team got a powerful performance from Liz Cambage Tuesday morning. The 6-foot-8 London native may be only 21 years old, but she dominated Team China like a veteran. She scored 17 points -- leading the game in points -- and collected 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block, while also drawing 5 fouls. The Americans will need to contain the Tulsa Shock standout if they hope to advance to the gold medal finals.
