Chris Volstad and his 0-9 record will take the mound for the Chicago Cubs Sunday afternoon as they look to take the final game of the weekend set with the Colorado Rockies.
Volstad, who hasn't won a game in 24 consecutive starts, enters the game with a 6.88 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP. He will be facing Jhoulys Chacin, who is fresh off a win on Aug. 21, his first start since coming off the disabled list after missing more than three months. Chacin is 1-3 with a 6.16 ERA and a 1.63 WHIP.
Cubs outfielder Brett Jackson has made the most of his time against the Rockies this weekend, homering in each of the two games so far. He now has three home runs at the major league level this season.
