The Chicago White Sox are fresh off their sweep over the New York Yankees and on Friday night they start a new series against the Seattle Mariners. The Sox have had their way with the Mariners in 2012, winning five of the first six matchups and tossing in a perfect game from Philip Humber for good measure, so Chicago should be feeling good about keeping things rolling during their push for an AL Central title.

In the series opener, Jake Peavy (9-9, 3.11 ERA) will take the mound of the Sox and the Mariners will counter with Jason Vargas (13-8, 3.53 ERA).

Game date/time: Friday, August 24, 7:10 p.m. CT

Location: U.S. Cellular Field, Chicago, IL

TV: Comcast SportsNet
