Cubs Vs. Brewers Score Update: Cubs Down 5 In The 7th Inning

The Cubs began a three game series with the Brewers Monday but they will have to rally late to come out with a win. The Cubs trail 9-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Chicago scored first and led 3-1 going into the bottom of the fifth inning but the Brewers exploded for eight runs in the inning to take a 9-3 lead. The Cubs got one back in the seventh inning but still trail by five runs.

Justin Germano lasted 4.2 innings for Chicago allowing seven runs on eight hits. He struck out three batters. Part of the damage came when Jonathan Lucroy hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning, his second home run of the game.

It hasn't been all bad for the Cubs as Josh Vitters hit his first career Major League home run in the fifth inning.
