2012 Summer Olympics Daily Preview: Cycling, Swimming, Gymnastics Highlight Thursday's Slate

Four medals will be up for grabs in the pool on Thursday at the 2012 Summer Olympics. The women's 200 meter breaststroke, men's 200 meter backstroke, men's 200 meter IM and women's 100 meter freestyle will each hold their finals on Thursday.

Emerging star Missy Franklin, the 17-year old high school student from California, will certainly garner much of the attention in the United States during the 100 meter freestyle. Jessica Hardy will also compete for the U.S. The men's 200 meter backstroke will feature Americans Ryan Lochte and Tyler Clary.

The women's individual all-around gymnastics competition will also get underway on Thursday with medals on the line. The U.S. represented by Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman.

Two medals will be handed out in cycling, as the women's team sprint and men's team sprint race to completion.
