After taking two of three against Houston, the Chicago Cubs hit the road to visit the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night in a match up of NL Central foes. The Cubs are looking to be spoilers against the Reds this time around after losing three-of-four to Cincinnati last week.
Taking the mound for Chicago is former Reds pitcher Travis Wood as he looks to maintain his recent success. The results have been mixed for the young lefty this season, but he's allowed just four runs over 18 innings with 17 strikeouts and seven walks during his past three starts.
Despite Wood's recent success, the Cubs haven't won with him on the mound since July 6, a span of six outings. Maybe he'll get lucky against his former team, though, less than a year after being traded to Chicago as part of the Sean Marshall deal.
Game date/time: Friday, August 17, 6:10 p.m. CT
Location: Great American Ball Park, Cincinnati, Ohio
TV: WGN
