Jay Cutler Will Play In Chicago Bears' Second Preseason Game Vs. Washington

The days off for Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler are at an end. After missing the team's preseason opener largely due to the fact that his fiancée, Kristin Cavallari, had just given birth to the couple's first child, Cutler is scheduled to get back in there and play for week two.

Zach Zaidman had the news on Twitter -- saying that Cutler will in fact play against the Washington Redskins in week two. Cutler didn't ask for week one off, by all accounts, he was simply given the time off with all that was happening in his life. He showed up on time and warmed up with the rest of the players, and dressed with them all, as well. The decision to give him the day off reportedly came after he was warming up.

In his absence, Jason Campbell made the start and was given a chance to work with the first-team offense. Not many players on the Bears performed well in that game, and fans are eager to see Cutler work with some of his new weapons on offense. Though hopefully Chicago will be able to keep him upright, with an ongoing battle at the most important position on the line at left tackle.
