Sam Hurd Arrest: Former Bears WR Arrested After Failing A Drug Test

Former Chicago Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd has gotten himself into more drug-related trouble (via Chicagoist). Hurd was arrested in Texas on Thursday after testing positive for marijuana use.

According to My San Antonio, any illegal drug use on Hurd’s part is in violation of the $100,000 bond that kept him free pending his federal drug conspiracy trial.

Hurd has pleaded not guilty to those charges of trying to establish his own illegal drug distribution network.

Due to those federal drug charges, Hurd was being given drug tests on a regular basis.

The federal case, which had been scheduled to begin on Aug. 6, has been delayed until October.
