Christian Loukas is a Riverwoods, IL native who will be competing in the three meter springboard event in the 2012 Summer Olympics. Loukas competed in the same event during the Beijing Olympics, where she finished in ninth place. Loukas has a strong connection to the Cubs since her family owns several of the buildings with rooftop views of Wrigley Field:
Growing up in Chicago, Loukas had one of the best seats in the house for Cubs games: Her family owns three apartment buildings with rooftop views of Wrigley Field. The rooftops, which are rented out for games, are complete with bleachers, buffets and bars. Loukas' family also owns two bars and a restaurant in Wrigleyville. She says she feels very lucky to have grown up there, and thinks everyone should come see a Cubs game at Wrigley. "There's just so much tradition to that stadium," Loukas said. "It's amazing - there's no other stadium like it." However, Loukas admitted she’d rather win a gold medal than see the Cubs win the World Series, which they have not done since 1908.
