Wimbledon Scores And Results: Roger Federer Survives A Scare, Advances To 4th Round

The men's draw nearly saw its second big upset in as many days on Friday, as third-seeded Roger Federer got all he could handle from No. 29 Julien Benneteau. Benneteau took the first set 6-4 and then won the second 7-6 to push Federer to the brink of elimination. Federer took the third set 6-2, won a hard-fought fourth 7-6, and then cruised in the fifth, 6-1.

Elsewhere on the men's side, Novak Djokovic defeated Radek Stepanek in four sets, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2.

On the women's side, top-seeded Maria Sharapova took care of Su-Wei Hsieh in straight sets, and No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska also advanced in straight sets.
