Notre Dame Offseason: Irish, Michigan Wolverines Will Not Play In 2018, 2019

The rivalry between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Michigan Wolverines is annually one of the most anticipated match ups early in the college football season, but the teams announced on Wednesday that they will not face each other in the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

No reason has been given as to why the teams have decided to suspend the series, but they did assure fans that the rivalry will resume after the 2019 season. Last year's game between the two teams was one of the most thrilling games of 2011, with Michigan putting up four touchdowns in the fourth quarter including the game-winning score with two seconds left.
