2012 Kentucky Derby Results: I'll Have Another Stuns Bodemeister To Begin Chase For Triple Crown

It's been over 30 years since the last Triple Crown winner, and after winning the Kentucky Derby in thrilling fashion, 12-1 underdog I'll Have Another will be the next horse to try and pull it off.

After leading for nearly the entire race, Bodemeister couldn't hold on down the stretch and was passed by I'll Have Another in the last 100 yards. With the victory, I'll Have Another became the first horse to ever win out of the 19 post, while jockey Mario Gutierrez won in his Derby debut.

Dullahan made a late push for second place, but couldn't quite catch the fading Bodemeister down the stretch. Union Rags was the favorite entering the race, but got boxed in early and finished 7th.
