Tommy Rees Arrest: Prosecution Reduces Charge To 4 Misdemeanors

Brian Hamilton of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that QB Tommy Rees will have his felony batter charged reduced to a misdemeanor in his upcoming trial:

Rees, one of the top quarterbacks for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, was arrested early Thursday morning after trying to flee the scene of a party in South Bend, Indiana. Rees and fellow Notre Dame football player LB Carlo Calabrese tried to leave the scene of the party after the police arrived, and when the authorities attempted to arrest Rees, he resisted and reportedly hit an officer.

Rees was originally arrested for public intoxication, resisting law enforcement, minor consumption and a felony charge of battery to law enforcement, which has since been reduced to a misdemeanor.
