Indianapolis 500 Race Results And Finishing Order: Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan Round Out Top-3

The 2012 Indianapolis 500 went down on Sunday afternoon in record-breaking heat, and Dario Franchitti took home the top spot for the third time in his career. Finishing second in the race is Franchitti's teammate, Scott Dixon, who battled with his colleague down the stretch before ultimately bowing out.

With Franchitti and Dixon finishing 1-2, it's the seventh time in history that a owner has had his cars finish in the top-two spots. Below is the full finishing order for Sunday's race:
