The Chicago Bears have announced their dates for the rookie and veteran minicamps, as well as the organized team activities (OTA) for the remainder of the offseason. With the draft out of the way, teams are beginning to seriously prepare for the upcoming season.
From May 11 to May 13, the Bears will be holding their rookie minicamp, with the full minicamp taking place from June 12 to June 14. Scheduled OTA dates are May 22-24, May 29-31 and June 4-7. At the conclusion of the final minicamp in June, the team's offseason preparation program will effectively be over.
The Bears have high expectations for next season after making the NFC Championship Game in 2010 and playing well in 2011 before Jay Cutler went down. With new weapons around like Brandon Marshall, Michael Bush and second-round pick Alshon Jeffery, expectations are especially high for the team's offense.
