The three heaviest favorites for the 2012 Masters— Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson— should come as no surprise, but the man with the best chance after those three is an Ilinois native. Vegasoddson.com has set their money lines for the 2012 Masters, and Northwestern graduate Luke Donald checks in at +1200, meaning that a $100 bet on Donald would result in a $1,200 payout if he secured the green jacket. Not too far behind Donald at No. 15 is University of Illinois grad Steve Stricker who comes in at +4000 to capture the year's first major championship.
Donald's best ever finish at the Masters came in 2005 when he tied for third, and last year he tied for fourth. That said, he's also missed the cut in two of the last four years. In 2009, Stricker tied for sixth, and in 2011 he came in tied for 11th.
