The 2012 MAC Tournament moves into the quarterfinal round on Thursday, and the matchups look very entertaining. The top-seeded Akron Zips and No. 2 seeded Buffalo Bulls are still on a bye until the semifinals, so it's up to the other four teams to sort out the matchups.
The No. 4 seed Kent State Golden Flashes take on the No. 8 Western Michigan Broncos, while the No. 3 Ohio Bobcats meet up with the No. 7 Toledo Rockets. Kent State barely edged Western Michigan in overtime during their regular season matchup back on Feb. 4, while Toledo beat Ohio at home by a score of 77-73 on Feb. 8. The tight margins in both games should make for some very tense and entertaining rematches in the MAC tournament with so much on the line.
