Blackhawks Vs. Blues Score Update: Chicago Trails 3-0 After Two

The Chicago Blackhawks out-shot the St. Louis Blues 11-7 in the second period on Monday, but it was St. Louis who scored the only goal. And it was shorthanded, at that. The Blues will take a 3-0 lead into the third period at the Scottrade Center tonight as the Chicago attack as been turned away time and again by St. Louis goalie Jaroslav Halak.

With Ryan Reaves in the penalty box for boarding Chicago's Andrew Shaw in the opening minutes of the second, Vladimir Sobotka would beat 'Hawks goalie Ray Emery to push St. Louis' lead to 3-0. Sobotka's fifth goal of the season was set up by teammate Scott Nichol.

St. Louis would be whistled for two other penalties in the second period, but Chicago could do nothing with their man-advantage.

As it stands, St. Louis has out-shot the Blackhawks 21-15 on the night.
