Horizon League Tournament 2012: Schedule And Bracket For Saturday

The Horizon League Tournament is down to four teams, as the semifinal round begins today, with four teams still dreaming of playing in the NCAA Tournament.

Detroit faces Cleveland St. in the opening game of the day. The Titans played arguably their best game of the season in the 93-76 quarterfinal victory over Youngstown St. Detroit is led by Ray McCallum, who averages a team-high 15.2 ppg and is one of the elite scorers in the conference. Cleveland St. struggled down the stretch of the regular-season, losing five of seven. However, one of the victories came against Detroit. The Vikings swept the season-series, winning both games by double-digits.

The other semifinal matchup pits the Butler Bulldogs against Valparaiso. This should be a captivating game, as Butler is playing its best basketball of the season and must be considered the favorite based on the success it has had in recent years. However, the Crusaders won the Horizon League regular-season championship and will have the advantage of playing on their home court. Valparaiso swept the regular-season series, including a home victory in the regular-season finale.
