Blackhawks Vs. Flames: Flames Take The Lead After Two

For the second time on Friday night, the Calgary Flames took the lead over the Chicago Blackhawks, but for the first time, they did not give it up. After relinquishing a 1-0 lead in the first period on a Patrick Sharp goal with 29 seconds remaining, the Flames took a 2-1 lead on Jay Bouwmeester's fourth goal of the season, which came with less than two minutes remaining in the second.

Bouwmeester's goal, which was assisted on by Blair Jones and Mikael Backlund, was scored on the power play. Michael Frolik had been sent to the box less than two minutes earlier for a double minor highsticking penalty on Calgary's Tom Kostopoulos.

More troubling for the Blackhawks is that they also gave up their goal lead, as the Flames head into the break having outshot Chicago 22-19.
