Jordan Diamond Recruiting Update: Chicago-Area OT Chooses Auburn Tigers

The SEC once again got richer at the expense of the Big 10 on Friday night after Chicago-based OT Jordan Diamond spurned some Big 10 powers in order to go south and play for the Auburn Tigers. Diamond, who is considered a four-star prospect by the major recruiting services, chose Auburn over the likes of the Michigan Wolverines and Wisconsin Badgers, as well as the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Diamond was ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 7 overall player in Illinois as well as the No. 28 tackle in the entire country. Here's SB Nation's Bud Elliot on the type of prospect picked up by Gene Chizik and his staff:

Diamond shows some good athleticism in the clips below. Other than that, it's difficult to tell much. The competition he plays certainly isn't that faced by top prospects in Florida, Texas or California. This is a recruit with top size, good length, and the ability to bend. He'll not be in for the spring semester, however, so early playing time is probably out of the question.
