Blackhawks Trade Rumors 2012: Derek Roy A Potential Target?

The Chicago Blackhawks have yet to make a substantial move, but some rumors suggest the team could be interested in acquiring Derek Roy from the Buffalo Sabres:

One team that’s been thrown around as a possible destination is Chicago. The Blackhawks acquired Brendan Morrison from Calgary a few weeks ago as a potential second-line center, but that move hasn’t paid dividends yet. In fact, Morrison’s been a healthy scratch the last four games.

Chicago's interest in adding another center to the team may have increased with the news that Jonathan Toews was injured in a car accident on Thursday, but that remains to be seen.

Roy has 34 points in 58 games with Buffalo this season.
