DePaul Vs. UConn Final Score: Huskies Dominate Demons in 80-54 Win

DePaul hasn't won a game since January 25, and Connecticut -- a team floundering itself -- wasn't about to let that change tonight at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion. UConn gave DePaul its fifth straight loss with a 80-54 beat-down that saw the Huskies run away with the game in the second half.

DePaul was doomed by poor shooting, while UConn dominated the boards and finished with more than twice as many assists. The Blue Demons went just 22-for-57 from the field (38.6 percent), while the Huskies made 33 field goals and shot over 47 percent. UConn out-rebounded DePaul 47-22 and held a 23-11 advantage in assists.

Four starters finished in double-figures for the Huskies, led by 18 points from wing Jeremy Lamb. Shabazz Napier added 14 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds in the win for UConn. Star freshman Andre Drummond posted 15 points and nine boards.

DePaul was led by Jeremiah Kelly, who scored a team-high 16 points. Forward Cleveland Melvin scored 11 and freshman Jamee Crockett scored seven for the Blue Demons in the loss.
