The Chicago Bears will pick 20th in the 2013 NFL Draft after finishing the season 10-6.
The No. 20 spot is reserved for the best NFL team not to make the playoffs, a distinction which belongs to the Bears this season. After starting 7-1, the Bears collapsed, losing five of their last eight games including critical losses to the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers. Chicago won their final two games, but so did the Vikings, as they took the final Wild Card spot over the Bears.
The Kansas City Chiefs are now effectively on the clock, as they will pick first in the NFL Draft. They own the tie-breaker over the Jacksonville Jaguars thanks to a weaker strength of schedule. Strength of schedule is the first tie-breaker, followed by division record, then conference record.
