The Northern Illinois Huskies will be donning fresh uniforms when they face the Florida State Seminoles in the 2013 Orange Bowl. The team revealed its uniforms on Wednesday.
The uniforms are white with red-and-black trimming, and the front features a custom number design and red NIU logo. The numbers on the jerseys are a silver and the names on the back of the jersey are red. It is the first time NIU has used the adidas TECHFIT jersey technology, which includes a lightweight numbering system, ventilation zones and moisture management material.
The jerseys come with arm sleeves that have a Huskie on the right arm and the word "Huskies" on the left.
NIU will go with red TECHFIT pants as part of the uniform design, and according to Red and Black Attack, it will be the first time the team has gone with anything other than black pants for its away jerseys.
