The Notre Dame Fighting Irish hockey team played a close game with the Lake Superior Lakers on Friday night, emerging victorious 3-2. Just one day later, the Fighting Irish took much easier care of the Lakers, beating them 6-1 and picking up the weekend sweep of their CCHA opponent. The Fighting Irish improve to 11-4 on the season with the sweep of the Lakers.

The Ohio State Buckeyes allowed the Michigan State Spartans just one goal over two games this weekend, winning 1-0 on Friday and 3-1 on Saturday. The Buckeyes move to 7-4-3 on the season while the Spartans tumble to 4-8-2 overall.
