Jabari Parker, the No. 2 prospect in the class of 2013, is set to declare at 3 p.m. CT on Thursday which college he will attend next year. A panel of experts polled by the Chicago Sun-Times believes that Parker will end up becoming a member of the Duke Blue Devils.
Parker is known to be deciding between five schools: Duke, Michigan State, Florida, BYU, and Stanford. The Sun-Times polled a group of players, coaches, media and recruiting analysts and 64 percent of those surveyed predicted that Parker would pick Duke. Michigan State finished second with 28 percent of the vote and Florida received eight percent. BYU and Stanford both received zero votes.
Simeon coach Robert Smith said on Wednesday that he believed Parker had yet to make up his mind. Whoever Parker picks on Thursday, he won't be signing a letter of intent until April, so there is time for him to change his decision. Parker's decision will be announced on ESPNU at 3 p.m.
