Notre Dame remains at No. 4 in the latest Coaches Poll following its incredible comeback victory over the Pitt Panthers on Saturday, and the Northwestern Wildcats moved into the rankings at No. 21.
Northwestern enters the Coaches Poll for the second time this season. They previously were ranked No. 22 in Week 6 before promptly losing to Penn State and exiting the polls.
Alabama maintained its stranglehold on the top spot after its narrow victory over LSU, which fell from No. 5 to No. 9 following the loss. The Crimson Tide, who received every first-place vote this week, have held the top spot in the Coaches Poll for 10 straight weeks.
No. 2 Oregon and No. 3 Kansas State held their places in the rankings as well after their victories over USC and Oklahoma State, respectively.
The Georgia Bulldogs round out the top five. They moved up one spot, replacing LSU.
