The Chicago Bears enter Sunday expected to win their sixth straight game, when they visit Tennessee to take on the Titans. But for Jay Cutler and the Bears, they better watch out, thanks in large part to Tennessee's undersized, but talented defensive pass rush.
Statistically, the Titans defense hasn't been all that impressive in 2012, but don't blame defensive ends Kamerion Wimbley or Derrick Morgan for that. Despite Wimbley weighing in at just 255 pounds, and Morgan at 278, each has proved to be tough for bigger, slower offensive tackles to handle. Wimbley has specifically been impressive, with 2.5 sacks and five quarterback pressures on the season.
And that could be bad news for a Bears team which hasn't thrown the ball particularly well this season.
In 2012, Chicago ranks just 25th in the NFL in passing yardage at 195.6 yards per game, as opposed to 222.7 yards a game last year. That is even after the offseason addition of big-play wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who leads this team with 50 catches.
For Chicago, slowing down Wimbley and Morgan could be the difference between getting a victory on the road Sunday, or not.
