The No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish host the No.11 Western Michigan Broncos for two games in South Bend this weekend.

Notre Dame has gotten off to a stellar 5-1 start (2-0 in the CCHA) on the season. Last weekend, the Irish swept a two-game series at Northern Michigan.

A balanced offensive attack and strong goaltending have been key for Notre Dame so far this season. Six players have at least two goals, with forward Anders Lee leading the team in overall scoring with five points. Meanwhile, goalie Steven Summerhays has posted a 4-1 record with a 1.61 goals against average and .938 save percentage.

Western Michigan is 3-1 on the year and is riding a three-game winning streak. They last played back on Oct. 20, defeating Canisius 2-1 to cap off a two-game sweep.

Notre Dame and Western Michigan face off first on Friday night at 6:35 p.m. CT. The rematch takes place on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. CT.
