2012 Chicago Marathon: Weather forecast, road closures and more

Runners will enjoy cool, cloudy weather Sunday morning and afternoon as they run the 2012 Chicago Marathon.

The 2012 Chicago Marathon kicks off Sunday morning with cool, cloudy running weather.

The temperature looks like it will stay in the 40's all morning and early afternoon with the high not reaching 50 degrees until about 2 p.m. CT. Clouds will cover the runners early on, but the sun is expected to shine through as the marathon approaches noon.

Despite the cloudy conditions in both the morning and afternoon, it is not expected to rain Sunday.

The marathon route begins and ends at Grant Park on Columbus Drive, and all streets on the route will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The route map can be seen here.
