NFL injury report: Bears escape Week 8 healthy

The Chicago Bears suffered no significant injuries Sunday against the Carolina Panthers

John Gress

The Chicago Bears escaped Sunday's contest with the Carolina Panthers with a win and with their health, as the team suffered no significant injuries.

Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery remains the only health concern moving forward. Jeffery suffered a fractured right hand in the Bears Week 5 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars and has now been inactive for two consecutive games.

Jeffery's injury came just as the rookie wide receiver was establishing his role in the Chicago offense. He has 14 receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns this season. It is unsure whether he will be available to play in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans.

Quarterback Jay Cutler entered Sunday's game with questions regarding the status of his injured ribs after he was limited in practice part of last week. He sustained the injury two weeks ago against the Detroit Lions. However, Cutler practiced in full on Thursday and played at seemingly full strength Sunday.
