After edging out BYU, 17-14, Notre Dame remains at No. 5 in this week's USA Today Coaches Poll.
The top five teams remained the same from last week's poll with the only difference being Florida and Kansas St. switching spots at No. 3 and No. 4.
Alabama keeps the top spot after crushing Tennessee on Saturday, 44-13. The top-ranked Crimson Tide received every first-place vote. No. 2 Oregon also maintained its position in the Top 25 after defeating Arizona State, 43-21.
No. 9 Oregon State moved into the top 10, replacing No. 16 South Carolina, who have now lost two consecutive games.
Ohio (No. 23), Texas (No. 24) and Wisconsin (No. 25) represent the newcomers to the list.
Northwestern received votes but did not make the Top 25 following the 1-point loss to Nebraska.
Notre Dame travels to face a fellow top 10 team this Saturday in No. 7 Oklahoma. The Sooners are averaging more than 57 points in their past two games, but face a Fighting Irish defense that has allowed an average of only 9.4 points per game.
