Northwestern hopes to improve to 3-1 in Big Ten play as the Wildcats host the Nebraska Cornhuskers at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on ABC.
Northwestern is 6-1 overall this season and was within a quarter of being undefeated before blowing a fourth quarter lead against Penn State Oct. 6. Northwestern trails Iowa and Michigan, both tied at 2-0, by a half game in the Legends Division. Nebraska comes in at 1-1 in the Big Ten and is looking to move past Northwester in the division standings.
Northwestern has been led by running back Venric Mark this season. Mark has 792 yards on 134 carries with eight touchdowns. Quarterback Cain Colter has rushed for 421 yards and eight touchdowns.
Nebraska is coming off a 63-38 loss to Ohio State on Oct. 6. The Cornhuskers had a bye week last week. Quarterback Taylor Martinez has completed 66 percent of his passes for 1,273 yards, 12 touchdowns and four touchdowns. He has also rushed for 338 yards and five touchdowns.
Nebraska is favored by seven. Northwestern won last year's game 28-25.
