Northern Illinois Vs. Akron 2012: TV Schedule, Game Time, Spread And More

Northern Illinois tries to stay undefeated in the MAC against winless Akron.

The Northern Illinois Huskies will try to improve to 4-0 in the MAC and the Akron Zips will try to avoid falling to 0-4 in the conference when the teams play at 11 a.m. CT Saturday. The game will be televised on ESPN Plus/ESPN3.com.

Northern Illinois is 6-1 overall and has won six straight games after losing its season-opener to Iowa. The offense is led by two-way threat quarterback Jordan Lynch. Lynch has completed 62 percent of his passes for 1,487 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. He's carried the ball 129 times for 918 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Leighton Settle has 403 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Martel Moore has 543 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

Akron lone win this season came against Morgan State. The Zips nearly upset MAC leader Ohio last week, mounting a late rally but falling short 34-28. Jawon Chisholm has 675 yards rushing and quarterback Dalton Williams has thrown for 2,205 yards, 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Northern Illinois is favored by 13.5 points.
