Blackhawks Vs. Avalanche: Avs Widen Lead To 3-0 After Two Periods

If the Chicago Blackhawks are going to get back into the win column after a two-game losing streak, they are going to have to do some work in the third period. The Colorado Avalanche extended their lead on Friday night to 3-0 after two goals in the second period.

The first, to put the Avs up 2-0, came on T.J. Galiardi's seventh goal of the season. It was assisted by Paul Stastny and Erik Johnson, which was his second of the night. Denver's second goal of the period came a little less than halfway into the period on David Van Der Gulik's first goal of the season, which came on an assist from Gabriel Landeskog, his 13th of the season.
