The Chicago Bears announced today that Brian Urlacher’s mother, Lavoyda, passed away unexpectedly in her Texas home.
↵Brian Urlacher released a statement that the Bears released today. “My mother, Lavoyda, unexpectedly passed away Monday at her home in Texas,†Urlacher said. “My first priority right now is to be with my family as we mourn her loss and make the arrangements to lay her to rest. This is a very difficult and emotional time for us and I sincerely ask that you respect our privacy. Thank you.”
↵The Bears have told Urlacher to take as much time as he needs to get through this difficult ordeal. It is still uncertain at this time whether or not Urlacher will play on Sunday against the Saints.
