Kreutz Signs With Saints

Last season Olin Kreutz’s final game as a Chicago Bear was the NFC Championship Game. It’s highly unlikely he would have had a chance to go that far again if he would have stuck with the Bears for one more season. Now that he has found a new home, Kreutz may have a chance to go that far again.

Olin Kreutz Friday agreed to a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Kreutz had also received interest from the Baltimore Ravens, but decided on the Saints. The 34 year old center will replace Jonathan Goodwin who the Saints lost in free agency.

It won’t take very long for the Bears to face their former leader. The Bears and Saints play week 2 in New Orleans.
