Madden 2012: Chicago Bears Rankings

Today is Christmas morning for gamers throughout the country. The new version of Madden Football is available for purchase.

In the latest version Bears fans might be shocked when they read the description of this years team. The folks at Madden Football actually label the Bears offense as an offense to be feared. In my 34 plus years on this earth I never remember the Bears offensive as being explosive. Sure they’ve had an explosive player now and then whether it be Walter Payton or even a Marcus Robinson for one season, but the whole unit?

For those who don’t know, the players and teams in the Madden game each get a total ranking. The rankings range from 99 being “Madden Perfection” to 1 being poor. Although seeing that Todd Collins came in at 64 there really isn’t anyone lower than the 50’s.

Here is how some members of the Bears ranked for this year’s game.
↵Team: 85. In comparison the Super Bowl Champion Packers are a 92.
↵Jay Cutler-Overall 85 highlighted by a 98 for throwing power.
↵Matt Forte- Overall 89 with a 99 for stamina.
↵Devin Hester and Johnny Knox both came in at 79, but were in the upper 90’s for speed.

↵

On defense Brian Urlacher (94), Lance Briggs (93), Julius Peppers (95), Chris Harris (88) and Charles Tillman (86) led the group.

↵

This years rankings don’t include some of the free-agents like Marion Barber or Roy Williams because of the timing of free agency with the lockout.

Enjoy this years version of Madden 2012 and the Bears with their explosive offense. Still hard to write that without a laugh.
