Sox Try To Split Short Series With Angels

After losing narrowly on Tuesday, the White Sox will look to rebound and split their abbreviated two game series with the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim.

Starting for the White Sox will be Zach Stewart, 1-1 with a 2.65 ERA and 1.41 WHIP, filling in for the injured Philip Humber. Stewart's last start, back on August 12th against Kansas City, saw him earn the loss after giving up two runs on seven hits and two walks over 6.1 innings pitched, while striking out three. Stewart has never started against the Angels.

The Angels will counter with ace Jered Weaver, 14-6 with a 2.10 ERA and 0.97 WHIP. Weaver last started against Texas, where he earned a no decision after giving up one run on six hits and a walk over 7.0 innings pitched, while striking out five. In his last game against the White Sox, Weaver got the win after giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits over 7.0 innings pitched, while striking out four. This season, Adam Dunn is 1-for-3 against Weaver with a home run.

The weather in Los Angeles is forecast to be sunny and clear, with a game time temperature in the low 80's. First pitch is at 9:05 P.M., CDT, and the game will be televised on WCIU, ESPN2, and FS-W.
