The Cubs have been on an end of season surge. With their win over the Astros on Monday, they tallied their twelfth win in their last fifteen games. Now they'll look to beat up on last place Houston again as they try to salvage something out of the end of their season.

Ryan Dempster, 10-8 with a 4.70 ERA and 1.39 WHIP, will start for the Cubs on Tuesday night. Dempster is coming off of a start against Washington in which he grabbed the win after pitching 7.0 innings of one run baseball, giving up just three hits and two walks, while striking out six. In his last game against Houston, Dempster pitched 6.1 innings and also got a win, despite giving up four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out nine. This year, Angel Sanchez is 1-for-4 against Dempster with a home run.

Pitching for the Astros will be Brett Myers, 3-12 with a 4.71 ERA and 1.38 WHIP. Myers earned a no decision in his last start, against Arizona. In that trip to the mound he pitched 7.2 innings, giving up three runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four. In his last game against the Cubs, Myers pitched 6.0 innings, giving up one run on three hits and two walks, while striking out three. This year, Marlon Byrd is 3-for-3 against Myers with a double.

The weather in Houston is forecast to be sunny and hot, with a game time temperature in the 90's. First pitch is at 7:05 P.M., CDT, and the game will be televised on WGN and FS-H HD.
