The Chicago Cubs will unveil a statue tonight for the late Ron Santo. A ceremony will take place at 5:30 before the game with the Washington National. The statue will be located outside the right-field gate next to the Billy Williams statue.
↵Expected to speak at the ceremony will be members of the Santo family, members of the Ricketts family, and former teammates including Billy Williams and Ernie Banks. Current Cubs are also expected to attend the ceremony.
↵In a private ceremony on Thursday, members of the Santo family are expected back at Wrigley to spread the former Cub’s ashes.
