The Chicago Cubs Thursday have traded outfielder Kosuke Fukudome to the Cleveland Indians for two minor league prospects.
↵Fukudome signed with the Cubs in 2007 and this season is hitting .273 with three homeruns. In his Cubs career, Fukudome hit .268 in his 513 games for the Cubs.
↵The Indians in return have sent the Cubs Minor leaguers Abner Abreu (OF) and pitcher Carlton Smith.
↵To fill Fukudome’s roster spot, the Cubs have recalled Tyler Colvin from Triple-A Iowa.
