Cubs Hope To Continue Winning In Philly

After a dismal eight game losing streak, the Cubs finally broke through for a win on Wednesday afternoon against the Reds. Now, they'll continue their tough road trip as they travel to take on the Phillies.

Starting for Chicago will be Randy Wells, who has made two starts since his return from the disabled list. In his last start, against St. Louis, he threw 5.2 innings and gave up four runs on three hits and a walk, while striking out one. Wells has only started one game against Philadelphia, in which he pitched 7.0 innings, and gave up no runs on seven hits and two walks, while striking out five.

Pitching for the Phillies will be Kyle Kendrick. On the season, Kendrick is 3-4 with a 3.78 ERA and 1.38 WHIP. He's coming off of a start against Pittsburgh in which he gave up four runs on eight hits over 5.0 innings. Kendrick has only pitched one inning of relief against the Cubs, in which gave up a single hit.

The weather in Philadelphia is expected to be clear and hot, with a game time temperature in the low 90's. First pitch is at 6:05 P.M., CDT, and the game will be televised on WGN and MLBN.
