Friday evening's game between the White Sox and Tigers gave Sox fans a lot to be excited about. Not only did they end their nine game losing streak against their rivals from Detroit, they won a game that earlier in the season they would have probably given away.
Saturday evening the White Sox will send former Tiger Edwin Jackson to the mound looking for their season best fifth win in a row. Jackson has been up and down all season. He comes in to game two of the series with a 4-5 record with a 4.63 ERA. Jackson has struggled recently against his former club. In his last three starts against Detroit he has an 0-2 record with a 6.98 ERA, including a 9-0 loss earlier this season.
The Tigers will send their ace Justin Verlander to the hill. Verlander enters Saturday with a 5-3 record and an ERA of 3.12. The righty has had great success against the Sox recently. In his last six starts against Chicago he is 6-0 with a 2.03 ERA.
The forecast at the time of first pitch is temps around 80 with a chance of storms. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 CST. The game can be seen on WGN.
