Sox Look To Bounce Back Against Ubaldo Jimenez

After narrowly dropping their opener to the Rockies in extra innings, the White Sox will look to Mark Buehrle to help them rebound against Colorado's Ubaldo Jimenez as they try to avoid dropping the series.

Buehrle, who is 5-2 with a 2.83 ERA in his last five starts, will try to continue his string of dominant outings to help the Sox maintain their position as third in the AL Central. Buehrle will try to extend his league leading tally of 24 interleague wins against the Rockies, an unfamiliar opponent that Buehrle has never started against.

Pitching for Colorado will be Ubaldo Jimenez. Jimenez, 3-7 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.39 WHIP, is coming off of an interleague win against the Yankees, in which he gave up two runs on four hits and four walks over 7.0 innings, while striking out seven. In the start before that he won against the Tigers, after giving up three runs on eight hits over five innings while striking out five. Jimenez has never pitched against the White Sox.

The weather in Denver is forecast to be partly cloudy and hot, with a game time temperature in the mid to upper 80's. First pitch is at 7:40 P.M., CDT, and the game will be televised on CSN and ROOT Sports.
